Our Story

Our story began in 1997 when we arrived in Kenya from Lebanon, bringing with us a deep love for people, culture, and the vibrant flavors of Lebanese cuisine. We envisioned creating a space where new friendships could flourish and our rich heritage could be shared with the world.

In April 2000, The Phoenician Restaurant was born, introducing a revolutionary blend of Lebanese traditions with Western and African influences to the Kenyan hospitality scene. At a time when the vibrant Middle Eastern culture was eagerly anticipated, we proudly brought a taste of Lebanon to Kenya, a country we’ve called home for over two decades.

Over the years, we’ve grown and evolved, adding new flavors and experiences to our menu. Eight years after our opening, we introduced a sushi bar, delighting our guests with authentic Japanese cuisine. Today, our menu spans Lebanese, European, and Japanese dishes, as well as Teppanyaki and wood-fired pizzas, ensuring something for every palate. To complement our culinary offerings, we also feature a well-stocked bar with expertly crafted cocktails that are perfect for any occasion.

At The Phoenician, we pride ourselves on creating more than just a meal – we craft an unforgettable dining experience. From exceptional cuisine to warm hospitality, we continuously strive to lead the way in Kenya’s vibrant restaurant scene.

Join us for a journey of flavor, culture, and connection – where every meal is a story, and every guest becomes part of our family.
